issues. However, AI has flaws that should be considered to prevent harm. These flaws relate to the spread of disinformation on the internet, affecting global and domestic security. The impacts of AI, if mishandled or uncontrolled, can be dangerous. Principles guiding its development should be based on the welfare and benefit of all humanity. Kamil: Some visionaries propose merging technology with the human body through neural implants and bio-enhancements to “upgrade” humanity. Others argue that the greater path lies in awakening the vast, undiscovered potential of human consciousness and natural energy. In your view, should humanity prioritize technological augmentation, or the inner development of our inherent wisdom and spiritual capacity? H.E. Shyalpa Rinpoche: I would say that the ideal of “upgrading” humanity is misguided and false. The Buddha followed a path to enlightenment that is open to all sentient beings. All of us have the potential to actualize peace within us, for our own benefit and for all humanity. This is as true today as it was 2,500 years ago when the Buddha attained awakening.
