Mariia Plekhova Abstract & Immersive Artist | Art-Tech Innovator Founder, Cyprus Art Week

M ariia Plekhova is an internationally recognized abstract and immersive artist whose work exists at the intersection of contemporary art, emerging technologies, and human experience. Working across Italy, Portugal, Russia, Finland, Malaysia, Singapore, and Cyprus, she has established herself as a pioneering voice in the evolving world of digital and immersive art. With participation in more than twenty international exhibitions, Mariia's works are featured in prestigious public and private collections alongside renowned masters such as Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, and Marc Chagall. Her artistic practice explores the relationship between consciousness, technology, nature, and collective human transformation. A recognized innovator in immersive media, Mariia presented a collective virtual reality installation during the World Economic Forum 2026 through the Basel Investor Forum and was subsequently invited to showcase her VR installation during Art Basel 2026. Her contributions to digital art have earned her multiple distinctions, including two awards at the Italia Media Art Festival. Her AI-generated short film was also featured within the parallel program of the 60th Venice Biennale, highlighting her commitment to pushing creative boundaries through technology. Founder of Cyprus Art Week As the founder of Cyprus Art Week, Mariia created an international cultural and ecological festival supported by the Government of Cyprus. The initiative brings together more than 100 artists, innovators, and cultural leaders from around the world, fostering collaboration between art, sustainability, technology, and social impact. The festival serves as a platform for creative exchange while highlighting the role of culture in addressing contemporary global challenges.
