Lara Tabet: Interview by Kamil Grund
Kamil: What was the defining moment that shifted your career toward entrepreneurship and brand strategy? Lara: The defining moment came when I realized I didn’t just want to represent luxury — I wanted to shape it. After years in hospitality and conducting thousands of high-profile interviews, I understood the power of positioning, storytelling, and perception. I saw how global brands entered the region without cultural depth, and I knew I could bridge that gap. That’s when I transitioned from being a presenter of luxury to becoming a strategist and curator of it. Entrepreneurship, for me, was a natural evolution — it allowed me to build equity in my own name while creating meaningful value for the brands I partner with. Kamil: With over 7,000 interviews under your belt, what are the most valuable insights you’ve gained about leadership and personal branding? Lara: Interviewing global icons from Hollywood to Bollywood taught me one universal truth: authenticity is the ultimate currency. The most respected leaders are those who are clear about who they are and consistent in how they show up. Personal branding is not about visibility alone — it is about credibility, discipline, and long-term vision. I’ve learned that presence matters, preparation is power, and reputation is built quietly over time through integrity and resilience. Kamil: How do you see luxury, fashion, media and lifestyle evolving in the Middle East over the next five years? Lara: The Middle East is no longer an emerging market — it is a global luxury powerhouse. Over the next five years, I see deeper integration of technology, experiential luxury, sustainability, and heritage storytelling. The region is becoming a creative capital where East meets West in a sophisticated way. I want my brand to sit at the intersection of influence and strategy — not just attending the conversation, but shaping it. My goal is to position Lara Tabet as a trusted authority for international brands seeking meaningful, culturally intelligent expansion in the region. Kamil: What qualities do you look for in a brand before partnering with them? Lara: Alignment is everything. I look for brands with a clear identity, strong leadership, ethical values, and long-term vision. A brand must stand for something beyond profit — whether it is craftsmanship, innovation, heritage, or social responsibility. I also evaluate whether the partnership feels authentic to my audience. My community trusts me, and that trust is non-negotiable. Kamil: How do you balance business aspirations with philanthropy?
